This project was a house that was built in the early 1900’s that the clients were in the process of restoring while bringing it into the 21’s century with many of todays modern amenities. They wanted to keep with the architectural integrity of the home and made beautiful material selections doing just that. The lady of the home really wanted an island but didn’t feel there was enough room for that. A custom island was crafted just for her space to fit the space correctly while still providing all the function she needed as well. The clients selected these Cherry red inset cabinets to mimic an original built in on the other side of the kitchen. They paired it with this beautiful fantasy brown marble counter tops and toped it off with a marble backsplash. The natural veining and movement in the counter tops made a perfect topographical map for her son and his army figurines. She is now able to work in her kitchen while her children entertain themselves or do their homework at the island or comfortably sit at eating area.
